Investigator V

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investigator V to join our team at the County of Maui. As a key member of our investigative unit, you will be responsible for conducting complex and confidential investigations of civil and criminal cases, gathering evidence, and interviewing witnesses and suspects.

• Conduct thorough and impartial investigations of complex cases, including those involving government officials, organized crime, and career criminals.
• Gather and analyze evidence, interview witnesses and suspects, and prepare reports for presentation to law enforcement agencies and courts.
• Collaborate with other investigative units and law enforcement agencies to share information and best practices.
• Develop and maintain expertise in investigational methods, techniques, and procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and court procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in police science, sociology, psychology, public administration, or a related field.
• At least three years of full-time investigational or law enforcement experience, including six months of full-time criminal investigative work.
• Valid Hawaii State driver's license (Type 3).
• Knowledge of investigational methods, techniques, and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and court procedures.
• Ability to think logically and objectively, analyze evidence, and make sound conclusions.
