Job Title: Tig WelderJob Summary

Basler Turbo Conversions is seeking an experienced Tig Welder to join our team. As a Tig Welder, you will be responsible for welding aircraft parts using TIG and MIG welding processes. You will also operate manual machining equipment such as drill presses, milling machines, lathes, and saws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze work orders, specifications, and blueprints to ensure accurate welding and fabrication
  • Weld component parts for the aircraft, adhering to safety policies and practices
  • Assemble, tack, and weld parts according to specifications
  • Complete assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices
Requirements
  • Must be able to pass AWS D17.1 aerospace welding tests for stainless steel, steel, and aluminum
  • Two years of experience in TIG welding processes
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and written instructions
  • Ability to read a level and tape measure and perform simple math
  • Knowledge of appropriate settings of welding machines
  • Knowledge of general shop procedures and rules, including safety precautions
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Ability to multitask and work at a fast pace while maintaining high quality
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work well in a team environment
