Job Title: Executive SecretarySalary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum
About the RoleThis position provides senior-level administrative support to the Chief of Police and other department members. The successful candidate will make the police department as administratively productive as possible while ensuring a smoothly operating and highly reliable environment.
- Ordering, maintaining, and replenishing office supplies for the department.
- Managing the Chief of Police calendar.
- Managing the recruitment process for all Police positions from initial application to hiring proposal submission.
- Managing the flow of information to and from the department, including records management.
- Supervising employees.
- Creating spreadsheets, managing AIS budget information, and preparing reports as requested.
- Providing administrative assistance to the Office of Emergency Management and Safety.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite software.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing the administrative functions of an executive-level office.
- Spreadsheet development and maintenance for budget reporting and performance standards tracking.
- Excellent keyboarding skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to compose/respond to correspondence.
We are looking for a talented individual who can work effectively in a college or educational setting. Experience with Virginia procurement systems (eVA) is an asset.
