Traffic Signal Technician

The Town of Farragut is seeking a skilled Traffic Signal Technician to join our team. As a key member of our public works department, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing streetlights and traffic signals throughout the town.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair streetlights and traffic signals to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
• Install, service, and repair lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets, and wiring.
• Operate power hand tools and other specialized electrical equipment.
• Construct and maintain service equipment, including reading electrical circuit diagrams.
• Respond to citizen requests and complaints regarding traffic control and storm drainage.
• Cross-trained for execution and inspection of commercial and residential soil erosion and sedimentation control measures.
• Cross-trained to inspect work conducted by contractors on town projects.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years experience in Traffic Signal Maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license in the State of Tennessee.
• IMSA Traffic Signal Level I or II Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
