Job Summary

The State of Minnesota is seeking a skilled Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specialist to provide technical support for the Remediation Division. As a GIS Technical Support Specialist, you will assist in defining GIS needs, carrying out GIS work, and producing maps and spatial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze large datasets to support environmental remediation programs
  • Develop and implement GIS solutions to meet the needs of the Remediation Division
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and data sharing
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in GIS and data analysis

Requirements

  • Three years of professional experience in GIS, data analysis, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with GIS software and data analysis tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and conducting data analysis and GIS projects
  • Knowledge of environmental remediation programs and regulatory frameworks
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret scientific data
