Support Residents with Psychiatric and Substance Use Disabilities

In this role, you will work collaboratively with residents to provide direct support, skill development, and community resource linkages. Your goal will be to empower residents to live independently and achieve their full potential.

You will spend approximately 70-80% of your time in the field, meeting with residents to assess their needs and develop personalized service plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide person-centered care, focusing on the 8 dimensions of wellness: housing, emotional health, physical health, social, employment, and educational goals.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of service plans.
  • Advocate for residents' needs and connect them with community-based support services.
  • Be available for rotating weekend on-call shifts via phone.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED, plus 3+ years of related work or life experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field.
  • The ability to write clear, concise, and accurate billable progress notes.
  • Exceptional time management skills to support multiple residents.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products and general computer literacy.
  • Ability to collaborate with individuals living with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • A valid NJ Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Lived Experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring individuals who have faced mental health/substance use challenges, enabling them to inspire and support others.
Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive hourly wage range of $19.23 - $21.63 per hour, based on education and experience. Additionally, benefits include medical coverage, free DMO dental, free vision, 6 weeks PTO, and 11 holidays.
