About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Radiology Scheduler Call Center professional to join our team at Optum. As a key member of our radiology scheduling team, you will be responsible for scheduling radiology procedures, verifying patient information, and ensuring seamless communication with our healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and verify patient information, including name, address, and insurance details
  • Schedule radiology procedures in a timely and efficient manner
  • Perform insurance verification and obtain necessary authorizations
  • File and maintain accurate medical records
  • Confirm and schedule appointments, and answer incoming and outgoing calls
  • Perform referral documentation and follow-up services for patients
  • Work collaboratively with our healthcare team to achieve specific goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years of customer service or healthcare experience preferred
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs)
  • Knowledge of radiology procedures and medical terminology
  • 1+ years of experience in a call center or medical front office setting
