Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Telecommunications Engineering Manager to join our team at Frontier Communications. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading a team of Broadband Network Engineers and overseeing the management of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of Broadband Network Engineers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties effectively.
  • Responsible for monitoring network port and traffic capacities, developing plans to ensure the health of the network is maintained, and eliminating end-of-life equipment.
  • Ensure work order objectives, network quality, safety, and budgetary requirements are met, and support the development of the annual capital budget.
  • Familiarity with Broadband network elements, Transport network design, Outside Plant design, power, and construction.
  • Develop and implement plans to support sales, marketing, and regulatory efforts, coordinating activities with other departments to ensure customer requests are completed by desired due dates.
  • Effectively partner with other engineering and construction teams to ensure a quality network is delivered on-time and on-budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in telecommunications and accounting.
  • CCNA and CCNP certification is a plus.
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking, follow-up, resource coordination, and customer service skills required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Strong project management skills and proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in the operation and/or interaction with Frontier-approved computer software applications and systems.
