Laundry Technician Job Summary

As a Laundry Technician with the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff. This is a full-time position that requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to organizational and healthcare industrial laundry standards
  • Collect and distribute clean and disinfected linens, including gowns, sheets, towels, blankets, and personal clothing
  • Operate laundry equipment and maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Follow infection prevention guidelines and use proper protective equipment (PPE) as outlined in our standard processes and policies
  • Participate in laundry collection and sorting, as well as the handling, storage, and distribution of clean laundry
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to use a computer and prior cleaning experience in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of materials, equipment, and methods used in cleaning
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record (depending on location)
