Laundry Technician Job Summary

As a Laundry Technician at the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff. This is a full-time position that requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to organizational and healthcare industrial laundry standards.
  • Collect and distribute clean and disinfected linens, including gowns, sheets, towels, blankets, and personal clothing.
  • Operate laundry equipment and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Follow infection prevention guidelines and use proper protective equipment (PPE) as outlined in our standard processes and policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless laundry operations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30-50lbs and push/pull up to 500lbs on flat surfaces or up and down ramps.
  • Physical stamina to be on feet for majority of shift.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record (depending on location).
