Position Summary

We are in search of an experienced 2nd Shift Plant Superintendent to lead our manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in managing production processes, ensuring operational efficiency, and upholding safety standards while also promoting initiatives that enhance company culture and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support compliance with regulatory and internal protocols, including Employee and Plant Safety, Food Safety, and Quality Assurance Initiatives.
  • Oversee the execution of RedZone Initiatives through the application of Kaizens, DLMP's, and lean methodologies.
  • Plan, manage, and execute departmental projects aligned with organizational objectives and goals.
  • Ensure the successful completion of CAPEX plans to support new business ventures, profitability, and asset upkeep.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supervisory team to ensure alignment with long-term objectives and the strategic vision of the company.
  • Establish performance goals for direct reports in areas such as training, development, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with plant management and cross-functional teams to define direction, accountability, and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Promote adherence to all food safety and quality programs to guarantee product safety and integrity.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations or manufacturing, preferably within the food industry.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, food science, meat science, or a related field is required.
  • HACCP Certification and Lean/Six Sigma Certification are preferred.
  • Experience in food manufacturing processes is preferred; supervisory or managerial experience is essential.
  • Availability to work from 2 PM to 12 AM.
  • Willingness to travel locally and/or overnight as needed, up to 25% of the time.
