At Abacus Technology, we are seeking a highly skilled Computer Hardware Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops and laptops for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and update commercial-off-the-shelf software
  • Manage Windows Server Update Services and antivirus servers
  • Assist with IT security auditing and compliance
  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone and direct assistance
  • Maintain and configure desktops and laptops in accordance with our IT standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a help desk or technical support role
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • CompTIA Security+ CE certification or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 10, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office 2016
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Resourceful and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Understanding and appreciation for information security principles
