Job Description

As an Industrial Forklift Operator at Zachry Group, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, load, and unload materials. You will also be responsible for inspecting equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and assisting with repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Responsible for all safety aspects of operating the equipment
  • May follow signal directions from a signaler in equipment operations
  • Access areas of operations for safety issues and required processes in the planning of equipment operations
  • Physical Requirements: standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting
  • Talk and hear to communicate
  • Use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools
  • May be required to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50lbs
  • Work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using appropriate fall protection requirements
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE
Qualifications
  • Must have 2+ years' experience as an Industrial Forklift Operator (Extended Boom, Lull)
  • Must possess all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions (see below)
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements
  • May be required to have a valid driver's license and meet a motor vehicle records check
  • Must have all required tools
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Must have experience and knowledge of operating various RT forklifts
  • Must have basic mechanical knowledge and illustrate the abilities to inspect equipment
  • Must have knowledge of and be familiar with soil types
  • Must illustrate knowledge of excavating and the specifications that are required for a given excavation
  • Must be able to follow instructions correctly
  • Must be reliable, accountable, and consistent in performing administrative processes such as equipment inspection paperwork
  • Must be willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations
Preferred Additional Qualification
  • Current Zachry or Zachry ROF'ed employee
  • Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
  • Valid Driver's License
