Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Account Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding our client base, building strong relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the forklift and heavy equipment sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and prospects in various industries, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, focusing on new business development and account growth.
  • Standardize Pricing Information: Develop a comprehensive document that lists each forklift model and variation, along with its price, optional features, and associated costs (e.g., maintenance, warranty, delivery).
  • Terms and Conditions: Detail pricing terms such as payment schedules, delivery costs, and conditions for bulk orders or discounts.
  • Update the Price Book Regularly: Keep the price book updated with current market trends, raw material cost changes, and operational shifts. Set a regular review schedule.
  • Digital Access: Make the price book available in digital format for ease of sharing and updates. Ensure easy access to quickly provide accurate pricing to customers.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of our forklift and heavy equipment products, as well as industry trends, to effectively communicate benefits and features to clients.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts to clients, negotiating terms to ensure mutual satisfaction.
  • Customer Support: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including service, finance, and logistics, to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system.
  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in account management or sales, preferably in heavy equipment or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of forklift and material handling equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
