About the Job

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Specialist, where you'll play a critical role in maintaining and improving our transportation systems. Based in Camden, NJ, this position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

You'll work closely with our operations team to troubleshoot equipment issues, analyze component failures, and implement improvements. Your expertise will help us optimize equipment lifecycles, reduce downtime, and increase overall efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in heavy maintenance industry maintenance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is also required.

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support to Vehicle Maintenance Supervisors and staff.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, develop procedures, and manage equipment lifecycles.
  • Developing and managing overhaul programs for specific equipment.
  • Supporting contract administration in forecasting costs for component overhauls and replacement.
  • Working with Purchasing and Storeroom departments on parts procurement, contract negotiations, and inspection of critical parts.
