Job Title: Night Shift Blending Supervisor

At The AZEK Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Shift Blending Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our blending operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting shift leaders, operators, and rail car attendants to ensure that our organizational commitments regarding people, safety, quality, delivery, and cost expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to the blending team to ensure company objectives are attained regarding safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Assign work assignments to team leaders, operators, and rail car attendants.
  • Ensure plant safety procedures are followed to promote personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Oversee, coordinate, and assist in raw material deliveries daily to ensure enough raw materials are accessible.
  • Practice strong engagement with direct reports and team members, including promoting diversity, sharing responsibility for success, demonstrating honesty and integrity, helping employees solve problems, and showing respect.
  • Communicate pertinent information to rail car attendants, operators, and leads.
  • Provide training to shift leaders, operators, and rail car attendants.
  • Troubleshoot blend systems and blending equipment for problems and make proper adjustments.
  • Ensure the proper materials and mixes are used to blend according to identified specifications.
  • Ensure operators maintain and observe batch tolerances, moisture, and all identified quality parameters.
  • Monitor the quality of the blends, perform daily audits, and follow posted process standards.
  • Ensure compliance regarding preventive maintenance and general maintenance as required.
  • Perform safety checks on all machinery in the department and report safety issues as needed.
  • Identify maintenance requirements and work with maintenance to repair equipment as required.
  • Perform administrative duties and process all required forms/paperwork.
  • Assist operations to ensure production schedule is followed and executed completely and on time.
  • Ensure housekeeping duties are performed on the plant floor.
  • Understand, support, and follow all company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Work with the management team to develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Technical degree from a 2-year college/university (preferred)
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Minimum 1 year leadership experience required
