We are seeking a skilled Nurse Educator to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System. As a Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in providing education and training to our nursing staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills needed to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, focusing on specialty and unit education.
- Provide continuing education and training to nursing staff, both formally and informally.
- Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of the professional practice environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Three years of direct care RN nursing experience, with a minimum of one year in an acute care facility.
- Professional certification in a clinical or education specialty within two years of hire.
- A Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field within five years.
- Previous staff development and education experience.
- Relevant clinical experience for specific units.
