The Good Samaritan Society is a not-for-profit organization that has provided over 100 years of housing and services to seniors with a commitment to quality care and service in a Christian environment.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to join our team at The Lodge at Winthrop. As a Resident Assistant, you will provide care and services to our residents, including medication administration, healthcare services, and activities of daily living assistance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care and services to residents, including medication administration, healthcare services, and activities of daily living assistance.
- Assist residents with self-administration of medications and may administer medications with proper training.
- Assist residents in maintaining proper and clean appearance, including bathing and maintaining cleanliness of all body areas.
- Help residents with toileting needs, dressing and undressing, and maintaining proper clothing.
- Assist residents in transferring, repositioning, and walking.
- Obtain vital signs accurately and report changes in resident health status.
- Adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines to minimize infections by following aseptic cleaning techniques, including those that apply to blood borne pathogens.
- Assist with preparing and serving nutritious, appealing meals and snacks to residents following orders, standards, and regulations.
- Fold, hang, and distribute clean linens and personal clothing.
- Clean residents' rooms and bathrooms, work areas, and other public areas.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must complete and maintain assigned medication administration training program and competencies per state guidelines.
