Full Time Audiology Faculty Position Tenure Stream

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly qualified and experienced audiologist to join our faculty as a tenure-track assistant/associate/full professor in the Department of Communication Science and Disorders. This is a full-time, 9-month position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of audiology research, education, and clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a systematic research program in hearing science, auditory neuroscience, or a related field.
- Establish an extramurally funded research program and provide students with access to high-quality research training experiences.
- Leverage collaborative relationships with clinical and research collaborators within the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), Veteran's Administration Medical Center (VAMC), and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).
- Engage in didactic, seminar, and/or clinical teaching and mentoring of students.
- Direct student research within areas of expertise at all levels of the curriculum.
- Participate in departmental, school, university, and professional services.
- A doctoral degree in Communication Science and Disorders and/or related fields with demonstrated expertise in specified subject areas.
- Priority will be given to candidates whose scholarship and discovery will contribute to advancing the science of hearing and hearing disorders in adults.
- Evidence of collaboration and successful partnerships in hearing science, auditory neuroscience, or related areas with a focus on adult populations.
- Evidence of research and scholarship and the potential to secure extramural funding.
- Experience with pre-doctoral and post-doctoral training.
- Ability to mentor students to achieve personal, departmental, school, and university goals.
- Familiarity with and experience with diverse types of funding sources, including federal and non-federal sources, private foundations, industry, training grants, and private-public partnerships.
The Department of Communication Science and Disorders is one of nine departments in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.
