Position Overview:
In this role, you will leverage your expertise in fundamental patient care, supplementary services, and administrative practices to assist healthcare providers in alignment with HealthPartners standards and protocols.
Qualifications:
Completion of a Medical Assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES is required. A minimum of one year of relevant experience is preferred, ideally within a healthcare setting.
Essential Skills/Certifications:
Proficient clinical and interpersonal skills are essential. Effective verbal and written communication abilities are required. Adherence to clinical skill standards and professional ethics as defined by the AAMA is expected. Basic computer and typing skills are necessary. Understanding of age-specific care principles for patient safety is crucial. BLS certification in accordance with AHA guidelines is mandatory.
Role Responsibilities:
As part of our Family Medicine team, you will engage with patients across various age groups. Responsibilities include preparing patients for appointments with providers, administering vaccinations and medications, assisting with data collection, supporting medical procedures, and conducting follow-ups with patients. Our focus is on delivering an exceptional patient experience while fostering a positive work environment.
