We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Title Administrator to join our team at JFR & Associates Inc. As a Title Administrator, you will be responsible for processing title applications, verifying vehicle information, and ensuring compliance with title regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process incoming titles from purchases and trades, verifying odometer readings and dates of sale.
  • Submit legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles, including tax, title, and loan documents.
  • Prepare tax and title documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications.
  • Maintain a system to verify out-of-state titles and compile a list of outstanding title work.
  • Report to management on the status of missing or problem titles and provide a current list of outstanding titles to the comptroller at the end of each month.
  • Sign over titles for wholesalers who have paid in full and prepare a monthly report to management of any funds not collected due to missing or incomplete title work.
  • Prepare stock cards for new and used vehicles and post vehicle costs and other accounting tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date on title regulations and attend seminars held by local licensing bureaus.
  • Cross-train others to handle title clerk daily responsibilities and assist with other office duties.
  • Conduct periodic training sessions for F&I managers and sales personnel on title regulations and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in title processing or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
