Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Data Solutions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop data solutions that meet the needs of our clients, including indexing, search, and retrieval services.
  • Lead Indexing Initiatives: Lead initiatives to improve indexing capabilities, including the development of new indexing tools and the enhancement of existing ones.
  • Operate and Maintain Data Systems: Operate and maintain data systems, including cloud-based storage and computing platforms, to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with Customers: Collaborate with customers, including senior management, data scientists, and end users, to understand their data needs and provide solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop and Maintain APIs: Develop and maintain APIs and web services to integrate data systems and services.
  • Support Security Accreditation: Support security accreditation processes, including the development of required artifacts and coordination with sponsor infosec.
Requirements
  • Expert Knowledge of Indexing Tools: Expert knowledge of leading indexing tools, including Elasticsearch and OpenSearch.
  • Programming Languages: Expert knowledge of programming languages, including Python and Java.
  • Cloud Storage and Computing: Strong understanding of cloud storage and computing platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to mentor and coach teammates.
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI with poly.
Desired Qualifications
  • Understanding of Data Challenges: Understanding of the challenges of indexing structured and unstructured data.
  • Software Development: Experience with software development and maintenance using tools and languages such as Java, SQL, JavaScript libraries, HTML, XML, Python, Spark, etc.
  • Agile Development: Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • SecDevOps: Experience with SecDevOps processes.
  • Automation Tools: Knowledge of automation tools, including Python, Powershell, Terraform, Ansible.
