We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Facility Supervisor at York County, VA. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our parks and recreational facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the daily operations of our parks and facilities, including opening and closing park gates and facilities.
  • Enforce park regulations and policies, and provide program and event assistance to patrons.
  • Answer questions, guide participants to appropriate park locations, and resolve patron concerns and problems.
  • Provide assistance with the management and operations of athletic fields, picnic shelters, parking lots, restroom buildings, playgrounds, bike paths, and walking trails.
  • Monitor and inspect the park for violations of park rules, oversee building and field security, and respond to park emergencies.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the park and facilities, including picking up litter, emptying trash cans, cleaning restrooms, and inspecting the park for safety violations.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school graduate or equivalent with some work experience involving public contact required.
  • Working knowledge of operating a park or similar facility desired.
  • Must be disciplined, reliable, self-motivated, and have excellent customer service skills.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia with a good driving record mandatory.
  • Requires an acceptable criminal background check.
Working Conditions

This position requires regular and at times sustained performance of heavier physical tasks, including walking/running over rough or uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, kneeling, leaping, jumping down, standing in place, or continual walking, lifting, and carrying of moderate to heavy items on a consistent basis.
