The hourly compensation for this role is $36.55. Compensation is determined by various factors including labor market conditions, education, work experience, and certifications.

About Specialty Sales

Our team of specialized consultants is dedicated to meeting guests' needs through exceptional operations, outstanding guest experiences, and engaging visual merchandising that inspires purchases.

Specialty Sales teams in Apparel and Accessories, Home, Seasonal, Beauty, and Electronics focus on enhancing guest experiences while efficiently completing tasks that ensure product availability and ease of shopping.

Role Responsibilities

  • Foster a service-oriented culture that prioritizes guest satisfaction. Model, train, and coach team members to uphold our service standards.
  • Commit to diversity, equity, and inclusion by continuously developing and modeling inclusive behaviors.
  • Understand sales objectives and manage daily/weekly workloads to achieve departmental and store sales goals, including merchandising and promotional activities.
  • Adapt work schedules to meet guest and business needs, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Lead a knowledgeable team of consultants passionate about their respective departments, staying informed on brands, trends, and promotions.
  • Encourage team members to utilize available tools to enhance guest experiences through personalized recommendations.
  • Create inspiring visual displays and ensure products are organized and well-signed to align with seasonal trends.
  • Oversee backroom processes and maintain organization to ensure product availability.
  • Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions, fostering a guest-centric team.
  • Lead onboarding and training initiatives to close knowledge gaps and enhance team skills.
  • Ensure a welcoming and safe environment in fitting rooms, if applicable.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for team members and hold them accountable.
  • Provide a shopping experience that meets guest needs across all areas.
  • Promote a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Lead safety initiatives by identifying hazards and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Address store needs as they arise.
  • Support guest services, maintaining compliance with relevant laws.
  • Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous retail experience is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

  • Effective communication abilities.

Workplace Expectations

  • Ability to access all areas of the building to address team or guest concerns.
  • Capability to interpret instructions and reports.
  • Proficiency in cash register operations.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Efficiently handle and move merchandise, including lifting up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
