Core ResponsibilitiesThe role of a PICU nurse encompasses:
- Providing specialized nursing care to critically ill patients
- Conducting thorough assessments and implementing high-intensity therapies
- Maintaining vigilant monitoring to ensure patient safety
- Advocating for patients and their families, serving as a liaison with other healthcare professionals
- Recognizing subtle changes in patient conditions and responding promptly
Our nurses are essential in delivering optimal care and support to both patients and their families.
QualificationsTo be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- Current nursing licensure in the State of Michigan
- A minimum of two years of pediatric nursing experience within the last two years
- PALS certification (or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire)
Physical demands include the ability to stand, walk, lift, and position patients for extended periods.
Work ScheduleThis position requires a commitment to:
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour night shifts, including rotating weekends
