Culinary Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Foster a collaborative and constructive environment across all operational facets.

2. Assist clients with any safety-related inquiries or requirements.

3. Execute daily financial procedures.

4. Prepare bank deposits for various locations, reconcile the safe, and provide weekly financial reports.

5. Instill a culture of safety among all team members throughout the contract duration.

6. Ensure that all client services are delivered in accordance with the highest standards of contractual obligations.

7. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients and guests.

8. Be available for client consultations during standard business hours to address operational concerns.

9. Estimate beverage costs and manage the procurement of supplies.

10. Collaborate with culinary staff to plan menus and coordinate dining, bar, and event operations.

11. Monitor beverage preparation to uphold quality standards and sanitation regulations.

12. Address and resolve any beverage quality or service complaints.

13. Review financial transactions and oversee budget management to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to budget constraints.

14. Maintain a safe workplace program, prioritizing safety on the job site.

15. Oversee safety reporting for all staff, including incidents and near misses.

16. Conduct weekly safety meetings and provide documentation to the client.

17. Promote safety awareness and monitor safety records.

18. Supervise meal service operations.

19. Inspect beverage control areas and equipment to ensure compliance with sanitary standards.

20. Maintain records of beverage consumption and employee hours.

21. Order and inspect supplies and equipment to ensure stock levels and quality standards are met.

22. Recruit and train part-time and on-call bartenders in operational procedures.

23. Communicate effectively with part-time and on-call bartenders.

24. Participate in training and drills as directed by the supervisor.

25. Oversee bar operations, including employee scheduling, event planning, and staff responsibilities.

26. Establish a visible presence at the bar to ensure high standards of customer service.

27. Set a professional example for staff regarding punctuality, attendance, attitude, and hygiene.

28. Uphold relevant health, safety, and fire safety standards.

29. Manage supply ordering and ensure accurate delivery checks.

30. Maintain efficient work methods and systems in bar and storage areas.

31. Provide support at the retail store as needed, ensuring stock management, cleanliness, and customer service.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to move throughout the facility for a significant portion of the time. The employee may occasionally need to remain stationary for extended periods. Frequent maneuvering is required to access necessary products and materials.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee may also need to assess the quality of beverages in terms of flavor, appearance, and texture.

The employee must be able to comprehend oral and written instructions in various formats, including text, graphs, charts, and video.

Extended hours and time away from home may be required.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED.

CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
Certification in Training for Intervention Procedures (T.I.P.S) is required. A current ServSafe Food Handler certificate must be obtained prior to deployment. A valid driver's license is also required.

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of two years of management experience in a beverage service environment, such as a hotel, restaurant, or club where alcohol is served, is required. Previous experience in remote service operations may be considered in lieu of the minimum experience.

OTHER :
US citizenship or permanent residency is required.
