Job Description

The LPN/Medical Assistant is a vital member of our team at VA Ear Nose Throat Associates, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support. This role requires a strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain a high level of organization in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fulfills patient care responsibilities, including checking schedules, organizing patient flow, and assisting with exams and procedures.
  • Completes clerical tasks, such as sending and receiving medical records, obtaining lab reports, and scheduling appointments.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including setting up and breaking down clinical stations.
  • Ensures patient education materials and surgical packets are available for providers.
  • Prepares patients for CT scans, obtains consent, and logs demographic information.
  • Reviews surgical cases and burns/uploading CT Sinus discs/USBs as required.
  • Attends department and company staff meetings.
  • Covers the triage line when not in clinic.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma and current LPN or Medical Assisting licensure/certification.
  • A minimum of one year work experience in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience with electronic medical records is a plus.
Work Environment:
  • A combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings.
  • Well-lighted, well-ventilated, and adequate space.
Physical and Mental Demands:
  • Requires sitting, standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
  • Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making patient transfers and assisting with walking, dressing, etc.
