Responsibilities:
  • Assist professional nursing staff with direct patient care, including preparing charts, taking vital signs, and performing screenings.
  • Support physicians by maintaining practice workflow, organizing exam rooms, and ordering supplies.
  • Follow instructions closely and report observations and symptoms indicative of patient reactions to treatments and complaints.
  • Responsible for workflow in practice to ensure timely appointments and decreased wait-times to see Provider.
  • Assist in scheduling accurate initial evaluations, follow-up appointments, and all appointment reminder calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate responsible judgment by updating knowledge, referring problems through appropriate channels, and observing policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of medical office experience required.
  • Two-year degree from an accredited Medical Assistant program with certification preferred.
  • Familiar with Patient Care, CPR certified, and experience on EHR and EMR systems, Athena preferred.
