Job Summary

Under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional, the Endoscopy Technician assists in the preparation and execution of endoscopic procedures. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist endoscopists with endoscopic procedures, ensuring the necessary equipment and supplies are available and ready for use.
  • Clean and disinfect all equipment according to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Re-supply procedure rooms with standard supplies and maintain endoscopy instruments and specialty equipment.
  • Prepare for scheduled endoscopic procedures, ensuring the necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and ready for use.
  • Assist in the transportation of patients within the department and hospital when necessary.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six to twelve months of related work experience in a hospital or patient care setting.
  • Completion of Anatomy and Physiology preferred.
