Job Summary

As a Distribution Coordinator II at J.B. Hunt, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods through our warehouses and distribution centers. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations: Manage the daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, material handling, and shipping and receiving.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train warehouse staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, including responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all warehouse operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner, including maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents or near-misses.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or supply chain management preferred.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management required; experience in warehouse operations and team leadership preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software.
