Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our ICU team at UnityPoint Health. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic nursing care to patients, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care.
  • Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Successful completion of a nursing assistant program or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
