As a Travel Nurse ICU Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to critically ill patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing interventions to address these needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patients' medical histories, current conditions, and treatment goals
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
  • Monitor patients' responses to treatments and interventions, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in a clear and concise manner
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of strategies to address these areas

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ICU setting
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility
