About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our State Supported Living Centers. As a Nurse II - Direct Care RN, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including administering medications, performing routine nursing tasks, and conducting health assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for residents.
  • Document resident care and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and services provided.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
  • At least six (6) months of experience as a practicing Registered Nurse in a health agency, hospital, or healthcare facility.
  • Knowledge of nursing techniques and procedures, health care laws and regulations, and medical diagnoses and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and productively with all levels of staff.
