About the Position

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Mechanical Engineering. This position is part of a research project funded by the Department of Energy for the ARPA-E ROSIE program to decarbonize ironmaking.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The successful candidate will contribute to the research project by performing experiments to measure performance or characterize materials, designing and fabricating prototypes, and analyzing data.

Role and Responsibilities

The Postdoctoral Researcher will work closely with the research team to achieve project milestones. This may involve tasks such as:

  • Designing and fabricating prototypes for testing and experimentation
  • Performing experiments to measure performance or characterize materials
  • Analyzing data and developing conclusions

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university. The ideal candidate will have experience in design and fabrication, as well as performing experiments to measure performance or characterize materials.

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas offers a competitive salary range of $42,800 - $75,000, or commensurate with labor market and appointing authority's availability of funds.
