Job Title: Financial Aid Client Services Coordinator

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a Financial Aid Client Services Coordinator to join their team in the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will assist in managing the workflows for internal processes surrounding customer service, outreach, and external communication. They will oversee processing SalesForce cases submitted by students and categorize those cases to develop proactive communication for high-volume topics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing workflows for customer service, outreach, and external communication
  • Oversee processing SalesForce cases submitted by students
  • Categorize cases to develop proactive communication for high-volume topics
  • Assist in supervising financial aid counseling
  • Monitor and establish new workflows to reduce case resolution time and information dissemination
  • Coordinate the office's outreach schedule and attend outreach activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • 3-5 years of related professional experience and 1-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date
  • Employee must not be in overpayment or default status for any Federal Student Aid program or award

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience
  • Superior customer service skills
  • High-paced environment experience
  • Detail-oriented
  • Familiarity with highly-regulated protocols
  • Good professional judgment

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of aid policy and programs
  • Knowledge of higher education current issues, specifically financial aid issues and policies
  • Awareness of Federal Department of Education and Nevada Board of Regents policies
  • Effective leadership and administrative skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Research skills in support of policy and procedure development
  • Demonstrated proficiency in creating and delivering reports and analysis
