- Maintains consistent communication with client representatives and ensures that information is relayed effectively to relevant departments including Operations, Project Management, Engineering, Quality, and Safety.
- Fosters robust long-term relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Conducts thorough system verification on completed projects to confirm compliance with design specifications.
- Reviews Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) reports to ensure adherence to all applicable codes and customer requirements.
- Assists in the development of work schedules, assessing manpower needs, material quantities, and equipment requirements.
- Oversees craft personnel within the designated area, serving as a liaison between field engineering and craft teams to ensure compliance with project drawings and specifications.
- Monitors the performance and productivity of craft workers to ensure adherence to project rules, procedures, and safety standards.
- Advises project management of potential issues, work interferences, and scheduling challenges, leveraging expertise in tank maintenance and construction to assist in problem resolution.
- Ensures compliance with all company, departmental, and technical policies, procedures, and standards. Interprets policies as necessary and undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Above Ground Storage Tank construction, including maintenance and demolition, with at least three years in a supervisory role. Demonstrated knowledge of refinery maintenance practices and a strong commitment to safety and quality assurance policies. Proficient in basic computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, or a willingness to learn. Familiarity with API standards (653) is preferred, along with prior welding experience. Completion of Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training, and site-specific training is required. Must maintain active status in the appropriate drug testing program and possess a valid TWIC card.
Compensation:
In accordance with California law, the typical hiring range for this position is provided below. The actual pay rate will be determined based on the successful candidate's qualifications, experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other relevant factors. The hiring range is $ to $58.45 per hour.
