Advanced Imaging Technologist II

Position Overview:
The Advanced Imaging Technologist II, operating under the general oversight of a radiologist, is tasked with the safe and proficient execution of both standard and specialized imaging examinations across the CT and Diagnostic Radiology fields. This role necessitates a comprehensive grasp of advanced computerized tomography (CT), Interventional CT techniques, power injectors, Diagnostic Imaging (DI) Radiography, and Fluoroscopy, including R/F rooms and C-arms, as well as proficiency in PACS Image Archival and Electronic Medical Records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and advanced imaging studies in both CT and Diagnostic Radiology modalities.
- Provide coverage support across modalities as needed during shifts.
- Adhere to ALARA principles to minimize ionizing radiation exposure to patients, self, and colleagues.
- Assist non-technical staff by reviewing orders, processing documentation, and facilitating electronic image sharing with patients and external facilities.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to effectively fulfill job responsibilities.
- Familiarity with standard office equipment and computer software, including MS Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email applications.
- Competence in using Windows-based computer systems, including keyboarding and navigation skills.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: As mandated by certification and/or licensure requirements.
Preferred Education: Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology.
Minimum Experience: 2 years of direct CT experience and 1 year of DI Rad Technologist experience post-certification.
Preferred Experience: 6 years of post-licensure experience in relevant fields.
Certifications Required:
- Certified Radiologic Technologist CRT(R)
- IV certification
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
Licenses Required:
- Certified Radiology Tech CRT(F)
- ARRT(R) certification.
