Physical Therapy Assistant

At Northeast Georgia Health System, we are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the effective operation of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical therapy according to the physical therapy plan of care, providing quality rehabilitative care to patients as outlined in the treatment plan.
- Complete all required documentation according to regulatory agency and departmental standards, and notify appropriate therapist of the patient's progress and suggest changes in the plan of care when indicated.
- Assist in discharge planning by ensuring the patient has appropriate equipment at home, and family is aware of a home exercise program.
- Contribute to the effective operation of the department and consistently meet or exceed the program productivity standards.
- Current license holder of the Georgia Board of Physical Therapy.
- Associates Degree. Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy, Assistant.
- One (1) year of experience as Physical Therapy Assistant. New graduates from approved school for Physical Therapy Assistants will be considered.
- Preferred Licensure or other certifications.
- Preferred Educational Requirements.
