Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Expert - Senior to join our team at Intelligent Waves. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and assessment of major cybersecurity assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and update security controls, accreditation packages, and artifacts to ensure timely and accurate completion of Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) processes.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and assessment of major cybersecurity assignments, applying comprehensive knowledge across key tasks.
  • Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes to influence short-term project growth and success.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers or cybersecurity staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Develop, review, and maintain Body of Evidence artifacts for Certification and Accreditation (C&A) under frameworks such as NIST SP 800-Series, DoD RMF, and ICD 503.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (7+ years of relevant experience).
  • Alternative: 6 years of cybersecurity support for IT systems in lieu of a degree.
  • 6+ years of experience working in cybersecurity, including experience in A&A processes and managing security controls.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with the US Army, DoD, or intelligence community Information Assurance roles (ISSO or IAM).
  • Expertise in developing and managing C&A artifacts under frameworks such as NIST SP 800, DoD RMF, and ICD 503.
  • Familiarity with federal regulations and terminology concerning IT system specifications, acquisition, and lifecycle maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Windows system administration.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies and Kubernetes management.
  • Cloud experience, particularly with AWS or Azure in IaaS/PaaS environments.
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
