Job Summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Environmental Services Worker to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of Environmental Service Technicians to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and trash removal services.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to meet the needs of our patients and staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety, security, and health guidelines.
  • Operate light, medium, and heavy equipment as needed to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Train and direct the work of Environmental Service Technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Perform supervisory duties in the absence of the manager, including coordinating staff work activities and monitoring attendance and time clock use.
  • Assist with special projects and set-ups to ensure accurate and timely completion.
  • Work with the manager to formulate plans for professional development and attend educational in-services as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of related work experience required.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
