Position Overview

Registered Nurse - Wound and Ostomy Care at Providence Health & Services

The Wound Ostomy Continence (WOC) RN operates under the general supervision of the Director, serving as a Registered Nurse with specialized expertise in delivering ostomy, wound, and skin care to designated patient groups. The WOC RN employs the nursing process to assess, formulate a nursing diagnosis, create a care plan with suitable interventions, and evaluate the outcomes of the implemented plan.

This role involves collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide recommendations for care or direct assistance to patients requiring ostomy care, wound management, and skin treatment as needed.

Work Schedule: 30 hours per week, with 10-hour day shifts.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Wound Ostomy and Continence Program

Compensation Details:

The listed amounts represent the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, including shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
