We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Children's Hospital of The Kings Daughters. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our young patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines to provide evidence-based care.
- Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license.
- Associate's degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing with applicable experience; BSN preferred.
- RN certification preferred.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
Expected to work in a fast-paced patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
