We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Generalist to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and reporting data for the use in diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory tests and report data for patient diagnosis and treatment
- May perform procedures across major areas of the laboratory or concentrate in one area such as Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, or Microbiology
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of patient test results
- Registered MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification
- Experience in a laboratory setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
This role requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. You will also be required to use your hands to handle and manipulate equipment and samples. The work environment is a laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals and other hazardous materials.
