Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Rush Oak Park Hospital. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing CT examinations, ensuring the efficient operation of the department and promoting quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receives and reviews requests for CT studies, assessing patient condition and determining proper handling and special requirements.
  • Explains and prepares patients for all CT procedures, utilizing extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes to ensure diagnostic-quality scans.
  • Operates complex equipment, selecting technical factors to ensure high-quality scans, and maintains equipment and CT room in proper working condition.
  • Administers various agents to render specific organs or systems more opaque, and possesses and utilizes proper aseptic technique and isolation procedures when necessary.
  • Coordinates patient care, sets priorities, and implements physician orders, demonstrating ability to organize and manage patient care.
  • Competent in the use of PACS, CR, and EPIC systems, and must be available for on-call status after normal working hours.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Program.
  • Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
  • Registered by the ARRT.
  • Current Active Illinois State License.
  • CT Registered.
  • Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all hospital personnel, and verbal and written skills necessary to facilitate communication with a variety of personnel.
