Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to produce high-quality images of patients.
  • Position patients and ensure their comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
  • Verify patient and procedure information before starting each exam.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance imaging services and patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
  • Certificate or Associate's Degree in Radiology Technology.
  • Previous experience as a radiographer or 1 year experience at Advocate Aurora Health as a radiographer.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of RIS and HIS systems, as well as basic computer skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and emergency call-backs to accommodate staffing needs.
  • May be exposed to radiation during procedures.
  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time or lift and move patients.
