Job Description

Omnicell is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical hardware solutions for our Automation products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical hardware solutions for our Automation products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
  • Develop and maintain electrical test plans and protocols
  • Conduct feasibility studies and root cause analysis
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 12+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a degree; 15+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Excellent documentation skills and experience with Agile PLM processes
  • Experience with designing power supply, embedded microcontroller, and microprocessor-based systems
  • Experience with Bill of Materials, MRP systems, and the ECR, ECO processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with motion controllers, servo/stepper motors, EtherCAT network I/O systems, and PLC programming
  • Familiarity with safety circuits and UL regulatory requirements
  • Experience with FDA regulated, ISO13485, or other highly regulated environments

Work Environment:

Omnicell is a hybrid environment, with a location in Milpitas, CA. The successful candidate will be required to travel up to 10% of the time.
