We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Compliance Specialist to ensure compliance for services provided to adults with disabilities within our Unit Based Services (UBS) division. This is a temporary position focused on resolving compliance issues, but it has the potential to become a full-time role depending on future needs.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and ensure compliance with state regulations, specifically Minnesota Statutes chapter 245D, across all services provided in the UBS division.
- Identify and address compliance violations within the team and proactively implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Review, correct, and ensure adherence to support plans such as IAPP, SMAS, SPAS, and Progress Reports.
- Train and support UBS staff to comply with regulatory and program-specific requirements, including maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with Designated Coordinators and other field staff to align processes and maintain high service standards.
- Regularly audit client files and service delivery to ensure compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in social services, healthcare, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a compliance or regulatory role, ideally within social services or healthcare.
- Experience with Minnesota Statutes chapter 245D and familiarity with UBS services for adults with disabilities.
- Proficiency in documentation systems such as Therap, and experience with IEPP, SMAS, SPAS, and Progress Reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address compliance issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple compliance-related tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
