Road Operations Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets for procurement of goods and services for the department, manage functions including timekeeping, human resources activities, inventories for fleet and operations, and reports.
  • Coordinate building/grounds keeping needs and repairs, and be on call 24/7 for inclement weather and emergencies.
  • Research training opportunities for operations, fleet, and administrative staff and recommend training to management.
  • Coordinate operations within the department, ensure requests for service are investigated, and visit jobsites during construction season.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree or the equivalent with emphasis in construction management.
  • Five years of public administrative experience or five years of construction management experience in the public or private sector.
  • Must possess a valid Class B CDL or obtain a Class B commercial driver's license with air brake endorsement within six months of hire.
  • Must submit to/pass a pre-employment background and drug screen.
