As a Principal Product Manager within Amazon's Consumer Robotics division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the product strategy, vision, and roadmap, taking full ownership of essential features and the overall customer experience. This position is inherently collaborative; you will engage closely with engineering, design, marketing, user research, finance, and executive teams to conceptualize, develop, and launch groundbreaking products.
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity and analytical prowess, demonstrating the ability to navigate effectively within a matrix organization while synthesizing diverse technologies and capabilities into beloved products and applications. We seek an individual who is customer-focused and technologically adept, with a proven history of delivering successful consumer products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the complete product lifecycle from conception to launch.
- Lead the formulation of the strategy, roadmap, and business plan for your product domains.
- Act as a dedicated advocate for the customer; comprehend and communicate customer needs, conduct ongoing research, leverage internal insights, and prioritize market demands.
- Motivate the team with a compelling product vision and collaborate cross-functionally to realize that vision.
- Draft requirements documents, define use cases and customer experiences, and manage business metrics and KPIs for your products and services.
- Facilitate product launches, coordinating with public relations, marketing, executives, and other product management team members.
- Serve as the product authority, supporting marketing with press briefings, industry presentations, and white papers.
- 10+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Proven experience in feature delivery and product trade-offs.
- Experience in owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end product delivery.
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions regarding technology decisions and strategies related to a product.
- MBA and/or advanced degree in engineering or science.
- Experience in developing and launching initial consumer products and services; comfort with ambiguity and emerging markets.
- Familiarity with robotics, autonomous systems, computer vision, machine learning, IoT products, and/or Alexa products.
- Experience utilizing rapid prototyping and other innovative methods to gather direct customer feedback throughout the product development cycle.
- A strong desire to engage deeply with complex technical topics alongside engineers and scientists, maintaining a customer-centric approach.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; proven ability to influence stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; adept at using data and metrics to support assumptions and develop business cases for projects.
