Job Summary

Citizens Property Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the management of support functions for the Corporation, including facilities operations and management, mailroom operations, and other administrative support functions. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong understanding of facilities management principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage staff, including hiring, goal setting, planning, and delegation of work, training, and development coaching/mentoring, and completing performance evaluations.
  • Ensure leased office space is operated and maintained in a professional, cost-effective, and safe manner in accordance with the lease.
  • Coordinate response to all operational and maintenance needs of the building systems, conduct safety inspections, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Manage day-to-day service and support functions, such as vending and break room service, janitorial, security officer services, recycling, access control, and building operation systems.
  • Work closely with business operations liaison and other staff on all procurements, serve as contract manager for contracts related to facilities management and mail services, and oversee physical security administration.
  • Oversee mail service operations and support functions to ensure customer service needs are met and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local guidelines.
  • Assist the Director with implementation and management of major program activities, such as the Physical Safety and Security Program, Go Green Program, and other special projects assigned.
  • Participate in providing Catastrophe Operations support and response as needed during CAT Prep, mock events, and actual emergency events.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree OR 3 years relevant experience, OR a combination of college education and relevant experience equivalent to 3 years.
  • 5 or more years' experience in the field of facilities management, property management, or like profession, with experience in space planning, interpreting building plans, and supervisory/management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7 or more years' experience in the field of facilities management, property management, or like profession.
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) certification.
  • Facility Management Administrator (FMA) or RPA designation.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Software.
